I have been The Worship Place Secretary for the past year, and now have a new position. As Ministry Assistant I will assist the Ministerial Staff, the Board of Trustees and facilitate the administrative activities of the church. (Please contact me for anything regarding these areas.) Lee & I moved to Sun City 5 years ago from Pennsylvania where I worked for Calvary United Methodist Church for 3 years as church secretary. Children and grandchildren attracted us to Texas and we are very glad to be Texans.

Mike Bailey has been The Worship Place Financial Assistant for 2 1/2 years. He is responsible for the Sunday morning offerings, member contribution statement, monthly financial reports and accounts payable. He has previous financial experience with Unity Church in Florida, H&R Block and his own grocery delivery business.  He and his wife Sue moved here in 2005 to get away from the Florida hurricanes.

 

After graduating from Southwestern University in 1986 and marrying my husband, Tyler, we enjoyed several years here in Texas, then New Jersey and West Virginia. In 2000 we moved to Maryland where I worked as a Pastor’s Assistant for 8 1/2 years at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. We have now come back to our “old stomping ground” and have lived in Georgetown for the past year. Tyler and I have two teenagers—Scot, a senior, and Jessica, a sophomore at Georgetown High School. I look forward to getting to know the folks at The Worship Place and enjoying the many blessings yet to come!
