Have you heard…….

Have you heard……..that God works in mysterious ways?   I firmly believe that!  I would like to tell you a little story about myself that illustrates this fact.  
 
I have always been a rather healthy person.  Last October I was diagnosed with high blood pressure.  Whoa!  Not me!!!  I don’t get "stuff" like that!  Well, the numbers showed I did have elevated blood pressure.  OK – so I'll take medication and it will be ok.  On November 13th (Friday, no less) I noticed this heavy feeling in my chest.  I was sure it had to do with the blood pressure and my heart.  Now was the time to panic!  I called my doctor and she sent me to the ER for x rays and a PT scan.  It was not my heart at all!  What the tests showed was a tumor in my right lung!  Where did that come from?  I went to my oncologist for consultation.  The tumor was a stage-one but definitely needed to be removed. 
 
OK.  I can handle this with God's help.  The tumor and upper lobe of my right lung were removed and I am doing fine.  The point of this story is that there was something completely different wrong with me than I had thought.  God, in His infinite wisdom, knew what was happening to my body.  I thought it was one thing when it was really something else.  God spared me in a round-about-way.  I am so very thankful that He got my attention. 
 
Now I am wondering just why God did this for me?  What does He have in mind for me to now do with my life?  I realize that I don't have years and years left to figure this out.  But I am being watchful.  I feel so blessed.  I thank God daily for my "new" life.  PS:  I no longer have to take blood pressure medication!!!!!!!!!
