This ministry supports individuals and families that are facing a cancer diagnosis. Our motto is “GETTING THROUGH THIS TOGETHER."
Cancer Care Ministry is a hope ministry that involves prayer, counsel, visits and assistance. The objective of the ministry is to bring God’s hope to patients, their caregivers, family and friends.
You are a part of our community and we care about you. Cancer does not define anyone. It is only an incident in one’s life.
Research published several years ago showed that 75% of cancer patients felt their spiritual needs were not being met in their home church. According to the American Cancer Society, over 12 million people in the United States are living with or have been personally diagnosed with cancer. Every year, approximately 1.5 million people are diagnosed with cancer. (Michael Langham, Director of Pastoral Care at CTCA, Tulsa Oklahoma).
That means that in a church of our size, approximately 48 people are living with cancer and 12 more will be diagnosed with cancer every year (Our Journey of Hope).
We believe that God has called TWP to respond to His people and offer hope to those in need.
If you want to be a part of this ministry team, TWP offers a Bible-based training program that has been developed to equip God’s people with the tools needed to bring hope to those living with cancer.
